I got my start in taekwondo with USWC Taekwondo and earned my black belt with master Jang and master Alicia. They are incredible mentors, martial artists and people. I went on to compete in taekwondo during college and graduate school. I did some coaching and refereeing and got to work with some of the best sparring athletes in the country. It is a huge part of my life and the community is fantastic. You are never too old to start, come back, compete and be involved. Taekwondo is a global sport that can take you to many places. It has given me so much, and I owe so much of that to this great Dojang here in Tigard. If you want to change your kid’s life, start them in taekwondo right here!

Wonderful place to learn, patient and kind teachers. Clean and bright. My child enjoys learning taekwondo and is doing well here.

Our grandson has been taking these classes for a while and he's currently a purple belt. He really enjoys it and he's doing great. Alicia is an excellent teacher. I joined the new adult class starting in April and I'm definitely continuing. It's been a lot of fun and a good workout.

Master Alicia is a wonderful instructor! I've taken my grandson to one of his weekly classes with her for the past year and was always impressed by her balance of discipline and kindness with kids of various ages and abilities. When the school offered an adult class last month I signed up, and can report that Alicia is just as fantastic with adults as with kids! She really pays attention to individuals and offers the right amounts of correction and encouragement. Also, the studio space is nice and equipment is in excellent condition. Overall, a great place to learn Taekwondo!

I have both of my kids enrolled. The instructors are amazing. They have been extremely supportive in my kids journey to becoming black belts.

Master Alicia and USWC Taekwondo Tigard have been a wonderful addition to our five-year-old daughter’s development over the past year. I appreciate the lessons in discipline and respect while creating a safe and fun environment for the kids.

Helped my son build confidence

My son has been coming here for a little over a year. What started out as just a forced activity to get off of technology has turned into something he looks forward to every time! Master Alicia is awesome, classes have the perfect blend of skill (and behavior) building mixed with fun. We would highly recommend US World Class Taekwondo with the Jang’s!

My son has had a fantastic experience taking classes here. Master Alicia keeps the kids engaged, learning, and active the entire class. He’s challenged to grow his skills, but in a positive way. We’ve loved the ability to adjust class days based on our weekly schedule rather than being locked into a standardized plan. It really works for us.

I just joined the adult class. This is an amazing class. It allows parents and family members to experience some of the requirements of testing. It has a warm up, exercise and taekwondo forms. The instructor and staff are fabulous. I look forward to the class every week.
